I booked my wedding at Dreams La Romana in Bayahibe Dominican Republic through Handa Travel. I would have never thought I would ever do a “destination wedding”, but with the help of Handa and my Wedding Planner our Dream Wedding became a reality and truly a dream come true. I could not have asked for a more perfect day. It was truly a fairy tale wedding.
I had a group of approx 13 people travelling from Toronto and Handa Travel offered me the cheapest rate and was there with me every step of the way with regards to planning, quotes and special arrangements for my guests. My rep kept me up to date with the bookings and special offers that was offered by the hotel and tour operator. She was always available and replied to my emails and phone calls promptly. And everyone knows dealing with a Bridezilla is not the easiest task in the world. I honestly thought that doing a destination wedding would be a stressful process and take up all of my time, but with the help of Handa Travel and my Wedding Planner at Dreams La Romana, they both made the planning process literally a breeze. Handa took care of all the travel arrangements, hotel transfers and communicated with all my guests so I didn’t have to. It was a big relief especially when I planned my wedding in 4 months!
Once we arrived in Dominican Republic, we had a private bus for all my guests which made the bus ride to the hotel all the more fun as the bus driver and tour guide was super friendly and let us stop along the way to pick up snacks and beverages for the ride. This kicked off the wedding week in a positive vibe. Once we arrived to the hotel we were greeted with champagne which made everyone feel super special. Once my husband and I checked into our room we had a note from our wedding planner with the details of when and where we were to meet to go over the details of the wedding. Everything was so organized. Once we met with our wedding planner we went through all the details of the wedding and she was very thorough. She took care of everything and I literally didn’t have to do anything but show up on the wedding day. When I saw the Garden Gazebo and Seaside Deck where we had our ceremony and reception she truly transformed everything to be more than what I had expected and described to her. From all the little details to the rose petals on the carpeted walkway to the rice that she handed our guests to throw for good luck after we said our vows – which where things that I didn’t even think of but added that extra specialness to make our day that much more memorable…
If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing…Handa Travel did an amazing job from beginning to end with their excellent Customer Service, exceptional Attention to Detail and amazing willingness to go the extra mile for their clients…..I am actually already planning my anniversary trip to DR for September 2013 and will definitely be using Handa Travel again.
